February 20, 2021 - JB Scholars Comprehensive Database is launched
A password-protected online database comprising a comprehensive set of professional information of JBSPDF members is created, and will be updated on a monthly basis. The URL and password to the database are shared only to JBSPDF members in each weekly JBSPDF Communication.

December 4, 2020 - Associated with Indian Radio Science Society as a Scholarly Partner
JBSPDF would be able to use the Webex resources subscribed by InRaSS to host its virtual events. JB Scholars would also have access to InRaSS member database to reach out for mentorship.

October 1, 2020 - Officially Recognized as part of the JBNSTS organization
JBSPDF leadership met with JBNSTS leadership, and JBSPDF was recognized as an integral part of JBNSTS.
More direct communication and participation between JBSPDF and JBNSTS in the near future.
We acknowledge both Senior Scholars and BKMB Scholars to be part of the same family and holistically regard them asJBNSTS Scholars or JB Scholars.
September 12, 2020 - First Expert Talk on Science Scholarship - by Dr. Ananthakrishnan
In this talk, Dr. Ananthakrishnan outlines the basic principles of radio astronomy, which enable us to set up very sensitive radio instruments to receive weak signals from the Cosmos and discover new sources of radio emission. Some practical uses of the principles of radio astronomy were also mentioned. He discusses how India has leveraged its scientific, technical and labour force to make these low cost but high sensitive, high-resolution radio telescopes for global scientific use for studying astrophysical phenomena.
August 14, 2020 - First Expert Talk on Career Development - by Dr. Prithviraj Banerjee
In this conversation, Dr. Banerjee shares his perspectives of different models of innovation with the JB scholars since they are all involved in R&D and innovation. He discusses the role of government R&D funding, VC funding and Corporate R&D funding to drive these innovations at different scales and the successful technology transfers from universities to startups to larger companies. He also shares how JBNSTS has been impactful in his career, and offers a vision for building a stronger support network of and for JBNSTS scholars.

June 21, 2020 - The Vision of JBSPDF was born
Several former JB Scholars met and nurtured the idea of having a forum dedicated to scholarly and professional discussions, and holistic contributions to the Scholar Community.
An ex-officio leadership team was formed (Admin Committee) to lay and maintain the framework of activities.
