Impact On Student Success
New Resource I Implemented
An example of a resource that I implemented into one of my math lessons was the use of Quizlet. Quizlet is an online resource for students to use to study vocabulary and subject material. During our area and perimeter math unit, the students had vocabulary and formulas that they needed to memorize to be successful on the unit test. Once I found Quizlet, I realized that that it was a fun and efficient way for my students to study the material. They were able to study flashcards, quiz themselves, and then take a little test to see if they had the material memorized. I feel that this was very helpful to their success during the unit. For example, a specific example of a student who succeeded was a student who was struggling to memorize the area and perimeter formulas. After about the fourth practice on Quizlet, he was able to finally have the formulas memorized and he passed the unit test!
