If you want the most reliable all-around wireless earbuds for active lifestyles and small ears, choose JBL Reflect Flow; if you need a dedicated bone conduction device that can actually survive full submersion for lap swimming, choose MOSSANTFUL Swimming Headphones.
• JBL Reflect Flow: Delivers deep bass and long battery life with a secure in-ear fit, but cannot handle being underwater or fully submerged. Best for runners and gym-goers with small to medium ears who need true wireless freedom.
• MOSSANTFUL Swimming Headphones: Built specifically for water sports with an IPX8 rating and open-ear design, yet lacks the rich audio depth of traditional drivers and requires MP3 mode underwater. Best for swimmers who prioritize safety and waterproofing over high-fidelity sound.
The JBL Reflect Flow is engineered for people who demand performance from their gear without compromising on audio quality. If you are looking for the best headphones for small ears that also deliver powerful sound, this model stands out because of its rounded tip enclosure and inclusion of three different ear tips. This variety allows you to find a seal that fits your specific ear canal shape perfectly, which is critical for both comfort and bass response. The "extra bass" experience comes from the dynamic driver technology, which pushes frequencies down to 20Hz, giving you that punchy low-end many athletes crave during intense workouts.
Its design philosophy centers on versatility. With Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, it stays locked to your phone or tablet whether you are sprinting on a treadmill or cycling outdoors. The IPX7 waterproof rating means it can handle heavy sweat, rain, and splashes without missing a beat. You get ten hours of continuous playback on a single charge, plus another twenty hours from the charging case, so you rarely have to worry about running out of power mid-workout. A ten-minute rapid charge even gives you an hour of listening time, which is perfect for those days when you forget to charge your buds overnight.

However, you should skip this product if your primary activity involves being fully submerged in water. While it is waterproof against sweat and rain, it is not designed for swimming. The in-ear placement creates a seal that traps moisture if used underwater, and the electronics are not rated for the pressure and immersion levels found in a pool. Additionally, while the touch controls and voice assistant access are convenient, they require you to keep your hands near your ears, which might be less ideal for some compared to physical buttons. It is an excellent choice for general fitness, but it has hard limits when it comes to aquatic environments.
The MOSSANTFUL Swimming Headphones are a specialized tool built for one thing: keeping music playing while you swim. Unlike traditional earbuds that sit inside your ear canal, these use an open-ear bone conduction design. This means they rest on your cheekbones and vibrate sound directly to your inner ear, leaving your ear canals completely open. This is a game-changer for swimmers who need to hear the lane lines, the splash of other swimmers, or any potential hazards around them. The open-ear design makes them a top contender for anyone who feels claustrophobic with standard in-ear devices or needs situational awareness in the water.
Durability is where this product truly shines. It carries an IPX8 rating, allowing it to be submerged up to three meters for thirty minutes continuously. This goes far beyond the capabilities of most sport earbuds and ensures it can handle the rigors of competitive swimming, diving, or open-water laps without fear of water damage. The build includes soft silicone and a 360-degree bendable frame, which helps accommodate various head shapes and keeps the unit securely in place even when you are doing flip turns or vigorous strokes. For those worried about finding a headset for small ears, the flexible band offers a wide range of adjustability that rigid plastic earbuds often lack.
There are trade-offs you must accept to get this level of waterproofing. Because it uses bone conduction rather than traditional drivers, the audio profile will feel different; you won't get the same earth-shaking bass or isolated soundstage as you would with the JBL. Furthermore, there is a strict operational rule: Bluetooth does not work underwater. To listen to music while swimming, you must use the built-in 16GB internal memory to store MP3 files beforehand. While this eliminates the need for a phone in the locker room, it adds a step of preparation. It is an incredible piece of kit for the pool, but it is not a daily driver for the gym or the office.

In my opinion, if you are an athlete with small ears who splits their time between land-based training and occasional pool sessions, the JBL Reflect Flow is the smarter investment. It offers a more comfortable, customizable fit with superior sound quality that works for every aspect of your fitness routine except full submersion. However, if you are a dedicated swimmer who spends hours in the water, the MOSSANTFUL option is non-negotiable because no other form factor can survive the environment. I would buy the JBL Reflect Flow for my daily runs and gym sessions because the ability to change tracks and take calls hands-free is essential, but I would keep the MOSSANTFUL headphones strictly for my morning laps.
Yes, the JBL Reflect Flow comes with three distinct ear tip sizes, making it easier to find a secure and comfortable seal for smaller ear canals compared to the single-band design of the MOSSANTFUL headphones.
You must use the built-in 16GB memory to play MP3 files stored directly on the device while submerged.
The JBL Reflect Flow provides up to 10 hours of playback on the buds themselves, whereas the MOSSANTFUL model relies on its internal battery which is sized to support its specific swimming functions but does not list a comparable hour count in the provided specs.
The JBL Reflect Flow offers passive noise cancellation due to its in-ear seal, which blocks out ambient gym noise better than the open-ear design of the MOSSANTFUL headphones that lets outside sound in naturally.
