Some art I have done that is not digital. I use pencils, markers, and colored pencils when I do art that is not digital, and I do want to do more watercolor paintings. I have also worked with clay and acrylic paints, so I did share that as well. I do all my art for my own enjoyment and because I want to do it, but I do have experience doing art with a specific intention. I titled the drawings myself and only put descriptions for the drawings that would need more explanation to what I drew.

This drawing of flowers I colored using acrylic paint after I drew them in pencil. I also used a bit of glitter glue to add sparkle.

Cycle of the Seasons

This was when I decided to do abstract art. I did it in the shape of a circle to depict the seasons of the year follow the same cycle always circling back. The colors chosen and shapes are to display each of the four seasons.

Colorful Flowers by the Window

In this drawing using colored pencils, I was drawing to display that beauty is all around you and even when in a house, you can still see the beauty of life through a window. The beauty of nature will always be visible no matter where you are, even if it is through a window. That is how I view art. I am able to express what I am seeing through my art and even if it is in nature I can display it through my art, not just by being out in nature itself.

My purpose of this was to display what I taught myself when it comes to using watercolors and how I blended colors together.

IB Art Creations

When I took IB Art in high school, I was to make a display and submit all my art I did. It was when I took this art class in high school, I made the realization that when art is getting graded, it takes the fun out of art. The purpose of this class was to think critically about the art I was creating, so that is how I thought of each description for the art.

Meaningful Flowers

Using watercolors, each flower is a different color with the color representing a different idea, feeling, or emotion. I researched different colors and what that color means and associated that with a flower color.

One Tree Four Seasons

To create this, I used air dry clay and acrylic paint. This is to show that even as the seasons change throughout the year, the tree will always remain the same tree. What changes is the colors of the tree and what the tree looks like. It is still the same tree even as the seasons change which is what I show here as this one tree displays all four seasons.

Art Display

In the end I was to display all my art in one photo and submit for a grade. The way I arranged the art actually serves a purpose of what I was displaying. Since all my art had something to do with nature, my art is arranged in a tree shape since trees are a big part of what we see in nature.

My First Inktober

Inktober is an annual art challenge, so one year I decided to take part in it. This happens every October, and this is the only time I have done it. The challenge is to do an ink drawing every day for the month of October based on the prompt that is given daily, or you can do your own daily prompt. The prompts can usually be found on social media like Instagram, or you can find prompts. This is usually done using a pen (hence ink) but it can be done in any way you want. It is just a challenge to do a drawing every day for a month to help improve your artistic skills. There are really no set rules for how to do it. The way I did it was I used the daily prompts found on the Inktober Instagram page for that year and draw based on the prompt. #INKTOBER
