Jayson was hosted by the Thailand Center of Excellence in Physics (ThEP) and Chiang Mai University for a research visit from 23-27 February 2026. During the visit, he engaged in exciting and interesting discussions with members of the Quantum Simulation Research Lab, including Prof Narupon Chattrapiban, Dr Nithiwadee Thaicharoen, and Dr Phatthamon Kongkhambut. He also delivered a presentation about time crystals and probing dynamics in atom-cavity systems.

Jayson was hosted by Professor Seiji Yunoki for a research visit at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science, Kobe, Japan, from 3-11 January 2026. He also presented a talk about time crystals in atom-cavity systems.

PhD student Christopher Sevilla and MSc student Roy Jara attended the Cavity Control: From Condensed Matter to Ultracold Atoms Workshop at Bad Honnef, Germany, from 14 to 18 December 2025.  They presented posters of their work to international experts in the field. Brilliant stuff, Chris and Roy!

PhD student Christopher Sevilla has successfully defended his PhD Dissertation: "Dynamics of bosons in an optical lattice within a cavity using single-band Wannier and position bases". Congratulations and well done, Chris! 

PhD students EJ Cabrera and Christopher Sevilla, along with MS student Roy Jara, presented their recent work as posters at the 6th Graduate Students Research Conference, organised by the College of Science, University of the Philippines Diliman.

PhD students EJ Cabrera, MS students Roy Jara and Emmanuel U, and team leader Jayson Cosme participated in the Asian Network School and Workshop on Complex Condensed Matter Systems 2025 held at the National Institute of Physics, University of the Philippines Diliman. EJ and Roy presented posters of their recent work, and Jayson gave one of the invited lectures on critical transitions in atom-cavity systems.

BSc student, Emmanuel Joseph Lee U, presented his work at the 43rd Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas (Physics Society of the Philippines) Physics Conference held at the National Institute of Physics, Quezon City, Philippines. Well done, Emman!

Jayson went to the Philippines Science High School Main campus to watch the Science Alive play/musical by Grade 7 - Diamond about his contributions to atomic theory. 

MSc student, Roy Jara Jr., and PhD student, Ezron John Cabrera, presented their works at the 42nd Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas (Physics Society of the Philippines) Physics Conference held at Batangas State University, Batangas City, Philippines. Well done, Roy and EJ!

Jayson attended the Workshop on Cavity control of quantum materials hosted by the University of Hamburg from 14-17 May 2024. He gave an invited talk about critical transitions in the atom-cavity system. 

BSc student, Richelle Tuquero, presented her work at the 41st Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas (Physics Society of the Philippines) Physics Conference held at Siargao Island, Surigao Del Norte, Philippines. Well done, Richelle!

Jayson was hosted by Professor Ryo Hanai for a research visit at the Yukawa Institute of Theoretical Physics, Kyoto University, from 17-28 July 2023. He also presented a talk about time crystals in open atom-cavity systems.

Jayson won the grand prize in the National Academy of Science and Technology Talent Search for Young Scientists competition!

BSc student, Robert Diel Abdao, won the Best Poster Award at the 40th Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas (Physics Society of the Philippines) Physics Conference held at Legazpi City, Albay, Philippines. Congratulations, RD!
