These kits are designed and produced entirely by creators in collaboration with The Sims. More information can be found here.

EA is known for being a shady and cheap company at best. With that said, I highly doubt they are compensating these creators fairly - who did ALL of the work on these Kits. 

To better compensate these Creators, I highly encourage anyone purchasing their packs to use their Creator Codes in the Apply Promo section in the EA App when checking out. Unfortunately, you can only use one Creator Code per purchase. As much as a pain as it is, I highly encourage you to purchase these packs separately.
