About K9 Model Retextured

October 20th, 2025 - ADDED INFO FOR POLICING REDEFINED - K9LocalPatrol. Are some of you getting invisible Dogs or weird vests / patches? READ THE BOTTOM OF THIS DESCRIPTION FOR THE SOLUTION.

CHANGES IN V1.01

Adjusted Textures for Stability: Optimized textures to provide a more stable framerate.

Black Shepherd Model: This dog now sports heterochromia, with one striking blue eye and one brown eye, giving it a truly unique look.

White Shepherd Model: I've retextured this model to create an even more distinctive appearance, giving it an almost completely white coat and bright blue eyes.

Camouflage Vest: The dark orange camo vest has been retextured. The new dark camouflage, featuring black and dark gray, now blends nicely with both the police and sheriff patches.

INFORMATION FOR POLICING REDEFINED BACKUP FOLDER - REGIONS

For those that are interested about K9 Backup and the K9 Models: This info is mainly for those that were having invisible dogs showing up to the scene. The following Info does not effect people that use Ultimate Backup. The info below are for those that PR installed.

In your DefaultRegions.xml / CustomRegions.xml / SpecialUnits.xml - for Policing Redefined > Backup folder For your K9LocalPatrol - You essentially need to take 1 number away from the desired texture model. Think of it sort of like the way you had put in numbers for Police Menu. To find your K9 Dog models easier - Just go to your DefaultRegions.xml for example and do a Control + F search for K9 - Change each area accordingly. For example LosSantosCity, LosSantosCounty, and BlaineCounty

Shepherd Model Face / Hair:
k9_tex_face="0" would be Model 1 standard looking hair
k9_tex_face="1" would be Model 2 mix between black and brown hair
k9_tex_face="2" would be Model 3 pure black hair
k9_tex_face="3" would be Model 4 white hair

Why is this important? If you put the k9_tex_face="4" hoping to get the White Shepherd -
the K9 that shows up for backup will be invisible in the backseat of your K9 Patrol officer. The dog would still function, but would just be invisible.

Vest Model:
k9_tex_shirt="0" = texture vest 1
k9_tex_shirt="1" = texture vest 2
k9_tex_shirt="2" = texture vest 3
k9_tex_shirt="3" = texture vest 4

Patches:
k9_tex_accessories="0" = texture patch 1
k9_tex_accessories="1" = texture patch 2
k9_tex_accessories="2" = texture patch 3
k9_tex_accessories="3" = texture patch 4
k9_tex_accessories="4" = texture patch 5
k9_tex_accessories="5" = texture patch 6
k9_tex_accessories="6" = texture patch 7
k9_tex_accessories="7" = texture patch 8

EXAMPLE CODE: Notice the lssdk9 - Make sure you have a unit named lssdk9 for example. For more info on that - Be sure to watch the Policing Redefined Backup guide Here.

<VehicleDivision name_list_id="lssdk9" spawn_distance="250" k9_model="SHEPHERD" k9_tex_face="3" k9_tex_shirt="0" k9_tex_accessories="7" chance="100">
