Immersive Effects will make your game more realistic, if you find yourself in a firefight you can hear your heartbeat, caused by that stressful event, or when you shoot, crash, get injured, or reload, there is a camera shake, those are not the only visual effects.

Use X + 3 to open the menu, where you can change the intensity of the camera shakes to your liking.
