"Bugsleep" Malware Attack
Bugsleep also referred to as MuddyRot is a phishing scam that occurs in countries from Israel, India, Algeria, Turkey, Italy, and Egypt. The attack targeted people in sectors including; airlines, IT companies, telecoms, pharma, automotive manufacturing, logistics, travel, and tourism. Being cautious with unsolicited emails, especially those that prompt you to click links or download attachments is a way to protect from this scam.

This theft has caused Del Prado to have loan applications in her name for up to $200,000. However, she claimed that her wife was responsible for the fraud. Furthermore, an investigation into her situation was postponed because of “a lack of tangible leads,” and she was advised to work out her claims in divorce court instead.
