His films center around universal themes of mental health, social justice, and labor issues.
Prior to filmmaking, he spent seven years as a digital storyteller working with brands from a wide range of industries. Over the course of five years at Volum8 Creative, Inc., an award-winning web design boutique in New York's scenic Hudson Valley, he helped several local and national brands find their voice and tell their story to a global audience.
In the Winter of 2019, he joined GNYHA, the largest hospital trade association in the country, as a digital communications associate and enrolled as a graduate student at Pace University. In grad school, he helped produce and edit several short field documentaries, helped in the production of ten short films, and produced three short films of his own. His first student film, Mirror, was officially selected for three film festivals, winning the audience choice award at Mott Haven Film Festival in the Bronx.
Jason wrote and directed Pasta Again? and The Cost of Living over the next few years, both premiering in various film festivals and winning awards. Mirror and The Cost of Living have both aired on BronxNet TV with two more films anticipated for the 2023 Halloween season. He also worked on several other short films serving as Director of Photographer and Camera Assistant.
Jason moved to Baltimore, MD in the summer of 2022 after joining the Partnership of Public Service as Design and Video Content Manager. He wrote and directed the short film The Hand that Feeds in December 2022, writing, shooting, editing, and composing the music for it within two weeks to make a December 31 deadline. In November 2023, he wrote, directed, and edited the mutli-award winning short film The Last House on the Block, working within a two month schedule to make another December 31 deadline. He also helped direct, film, and edit the short documentary, Ripping The Gates Down: The Real Stories of Diverse Scientists, this time working with 2 Hot 2 Heavy Productions.
In 2024, Jason began work on his first full-length film, There is Something in my House. In order to raise funds, he wrote and directed a short teaser for the film which will be used to create a crowd-funding campaign in 2025. With the script for the full-length complete, he plans on starting his fund-raising campaign in 2026.
