After completing the survey, I discovered that my digital knowledge is higher than I expected looking at the bar graph results. Considering myself skilled in locating, collating and interpreting online information.
My level of skill when using digital devices:
- Word documents and canva
- Posting to forums/discussion boards
- Creating videos though Youtube and infographics
- Communciate using Zooma dn social media apps
My gaps in skill generally lie within the creative aspect of digital literacy
- editing images
- animations
- create and edit audio files
- create websites
- draw and paint
- create comic strips and eBooks
Confidence
While I consider myself not confident in digital literacy, I can see through my survey results that I have some sound knowledge and practical capabilities across the majority of digital education and that it is my perceived level of confidence that would hold me back the most in educating through technology. I can see simple exposure to the tools identified in the gaps in my skills would quickly change from beginner to foundational/intermediate.
