8 Apr 2025. Attended European AI Responsibility: Policy, Innovation, and Ethics Across Borders organized by RAi UK, which brought together researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders from Europe, Canada, and the UK to share insights from national research programmes and develop a common understanding of emerging challenges in developing Trustworthy AI.
19 Mar 2025. Attended UK Multi-Agent Systems Symposium 2025 (UK-MAS) which brought together 200+ researchers interested in MAS at King's College London.
18 Mar 2025. Participated in ECR Connect during day 2 of AI UK 2025, a networking event for early career researchers.
15 Mar 2025. Demoed the serious game we designed for ethical preference elicitation and interacted with hundreds of attendees (including adults and kids) at the Southampton Science and Engineering Festival (SOTSEF'25) at the University of Southampton. [demo video]
12 Mar 2025. Attended RAi UK Impact Accelerator and International Partnerships Networking Event at the Royal Society, London.
11 Mar 2025. Participated in the Communication and Public Speaking Workshop by Neil Mullarkey, organized by RAi UK for early career researchers.
13 Feb 2025. Presented a talk titled "Two Approaches for Building Responsible Agency" at the monthly Citizen-Centric AI Systems (CCAIS) Seminar series. [YouTube link]
30 Jan 2025. Part of the organizing team of Citizen-Centric AI Systems Workshop 2025 held at the Royal Society, London. Presented a poster and demo titled "Serious Game for Ethical Preference Elicitation".
22 Jan 2025. Part of the team which organized the first co-creation workshop of the "Embodied AI in Social Spaces: Responsible and Adaptive Robots in Complex Settings" project at the Cobot Maker Space at the University of Nottingham. We interacted with senior citizens and researchers to understand their perspectives regarding robots in care homes. Using NetLogo, I presented a multi-agent simulation of carers and robots in a dining room setting.
21 Jan 2025. Attended the RAi UK Co-ordinating Keystone Launch Event at the University of Nottingham.

16-19 Dec 2024. Our poster titled "Effective Queue Management Mechanisms for Renewable Power Plants in the Power Grid" by Athina Georgara, Jayati Deshmukh and Sarvapali D. Ramchurn was presented at the AI for Net Zero Conference held at the University of Exeter.
18-24 Nov 2024. Attended Pacific Rim International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (PRICAI 2024) and International Conference on Principles and Practice of Multi-Agent Systems (PRIMA 2024) in Kyoto, Japan. Presented our paper titled Ethical Alignment in Citizen-Centric AI at PRICAI.
14-15 Oct 2024. Attended a two-day Capacity Development program on Living Lab methodology in the context of Urban Mobility conducted by the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) in Bengaluru.
27 Sept 2024. Invited to attend the Dinner Reception at the British High Commissioner’s residence in New Delhi to celebrate the Responsible Ai UK and Centre For Responsible AI (CeRAI) (IIT Madras) joint initiatives in India and the Living Bridge between the two countries under the UK-India Technology and Security Initiative.
27 Sept 2024. Attended Responsible and Trustworthy AI Workshop co-organised by Responsible AI UK, CERAI, and IIIT Delhi which brought together leading researchers and innovators from India and the UK to hear from world-leading experts on Responsible and Trustworthy AI.
23-26 Sept 2024. Participated in the Responsible Ai International Sandpit co-hosted by Responsible Ai UK and the Centre For Responsible AI (CeRAI) at the Neemrana Fort Palace which brought together early career researchers from UK and India working in Responsible AI.
20 Sept 2024. Attended "Symposium on Data for Public Good" at the J N Tata Auditorium, IISc, Bengaluru, India.
11 Sept 2024. Attended a workshop on "Mental Clarity & Decision Making for Academics" at the University of Southampton.
9-10 Sept 2024. Attended RAI UK All Hands Meeting at Cardiff. Organized RAI ECR's workshop on Sept 9th.
9 Jul 2024. Awarded PhD degree at the 24th convocation at International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore.
5 Jul 2024. Gave a talk titled "Responsible AI: Significance, Techniques and Applications" at the workshop on "Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & its Applications" organized by MANIT Bhopal.
11-13 Jun 2024. Participated in the RAi UK Integrator Sandpit in London, where RAi UK postdocs and ECRs interacted to collaboratively design projects which they will work on for the next 18 months. They received feedback on their proposals from various RAi UK mentors.
6 to 7 Jun 2024. Participated in the Citizen-Centric and Civic AI Workshop where researchers from the University of Southampton, University of Amsterdam and University of Bristol, primarily working in the area of AI for, with and by the people brainstormed together and interacted with many industry partners to develop collaborative projects.
4 Jun 2024. Attended the UKRI AI & Net Zero Collaborative Showcase in London, which brought together all the AI for Net Zero investments funded by UKRI through the Tech Mission Fund, along with RAi UK researchers, and other key stakeholders across the landscape.
20 to 24 May 2024. Participated in the Data Study Group May 2024 at the Alan Turing Institute in London. Part of the team which addressed the challenge by Theyr of "using explainable AI to improve user trust and adoption in maritime routing".
13 May 2024. Successfully defended my PhD thesis titled “Computational Transcendence: A Model for Emergent Responsible Agency in Multi-Agent Systems”.
30 Apr 2024. Presented a talk titled "Computational Transcendence: A Model for Emergent Responsible Agency in Multi-Agent Systems" at the Agents Interaction Complexity (AIC) Seminar series at the University of Southampton.
9 Apr 2024. Attended the Responsible AI Community Building Event in London co-hosted by RAI UK and UKRI. There were presentations from various EPSRC AI Hubs and roundtable discussions to foster collaboration.
22 Mar 2024. Participated in the RAI UK Partner Network Town Hall in London which brought people from different interest groups together, to build an ecosystem of Responsible AI.
16 Mar 2024. Interacted with visitors and kids on the theme "Are you smarter than Artificial Intelligence?" along with the CCAIS team at the Southampton Science and Engineering Festival (SOTSEF) at the University of Southampton.
12 Mar 2024. Participated in the Imperial KCL Soton Workshop held at the University of Southampton.
4 to 6 Mar 2024. Attended the Trustworthy Autonomous Systems (TAS) Showcase in London.
23 Feb 2024. Participated in the Researchers' Day at KCL event, where RAI UK postdocs from King's College London, the University of Nottingham and the University of Southampton met and discussed their research interests at King's College London.
29 Jan 2024. Joined as a postdoc at the University of Southampton working with Prof. Sarvapali (Gopal) Ramchurn on UKRI Trustworthy Autonomous Systems (TAS) Hub and Responsible AI UK projects and with Prof. Sebastian Stein on Citizen-Centric Artificial Intelligence Systems project.
