I want to write a book focused solely on regression problems. It will specifically cover cases where the target to be predicted is a vector, allowing for the exploration of various predictors. Additionally, I plan to delve deeply into error quantification, addressing different types of errors. The book will cover commonly used white noise as well as heteroscedastic errors, discussing which machine learning or neural network models are best suited to handle each type.
I regularly write posts on my Korean blog. Currently, I write about topics that come to mind, little by little. At this stage, I haven't yet established a unifying theme or strong connections between the writings to consider it a book. However, if I continue writing consistently for about another year, I believe I could turn it into one. My goal is to complete a draft by early 2026.
I want to share the lessons I’ve learned in life with my children. However, I also hope to write a book that would be meaningful not only for them but also for young professionals just starting their careers.
I want to write about my PhD journey. I’d like to start by sharing the challenges I faced when first applying for PhD programs and detailing the preparation process. Then, I want to document my five years in the program—the experience of choosing and changing advisors, the ups and downs I went through, and finally, the moment of completing my PhD.
Beyond that, I’d also like to write about my postdoctoral experience, the challenges of finding a job as an engineer in the U.S., and the difficulties that come with it. This book is still in its early stages, and I expect to complete a draft by early 2027.
This book introduces the stories and experiences from my three years of living in Russia. I have already written more than 60% of it, so I expect to complete the first draft by around July this year. The book will cover how life in Russia differs from life in Korea, what it’s like to pursue a master’s degree in Russia, and various aspects of daily life there.
Additionally, my family and I traveled extensively to neighboring countries during those three years, so I plan to include stories about those travels as well. This will likely be my first book, and I feel incredibly excited about it. I want to focus on completing this book first before moving on to other projects.
