You play as Wo [我], who is unlocked by default. The beginning goal of the game is to fall asleep by completing certain tasks. These tasks follow the proverb "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". As time progresses, the game's response to the player interacting with the environment changes to simulate the character getting tired. After the character falls asleep, the player enters the nightmare phase, where they must now figure out how to wake up while avoiding monsters. Depending on how many of a certain item the player collect by the time they wake up, they unlock different endings and more characters to play as.
