Javier Carbonell
I am a researcher interested in nationalism, environmentalism, the far-right and inequality.
I am currently Deputy Director of Future Policy Lab and Policy Analyst at the European Policy Centre, working on demotratic-backsliding, the far-right and citizens' participation. I co-edited a book titled "La Desiguladad en España", about how to reduce inequality in Spain.
I am also a PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh, where I study how mainstream parties nationalize environmental policies. I also teach two courses at Sciences Po, Paris (as enseignant vacataire).
I am a Visiting Fellow at CIDOB, an Associate at LSE IDEAS, a member of ASEN, and a co-founder of BK2. I write for El País and created a YouTube channel.
I studied an MSc in IR at the London School of Economics as well as two bachelor's degrees in Spain, one in Political Science and one in Hispanic Studies.
