I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Kanpur under the guidance of Prof. Tushar Apurv. My research is dedicated to advancing our understanding of heatwaves assessing their predictability and investigating how they are expected to evolve in response to global warming.The primary emphasis of my work lies in understanding the processes that influence the occurrence, intensity, and spatial-temporal propagation of heatwaves. The complex interactions between land and atmospheric processes make it difficult to understand the physical drivers of heatwave propagation. My research methodology revolves around tracking these events in both space and time, aiming to uncover the origin, direction, and the drivers of spatial and temporal propagation. By delving deep into these mechanisms, I seek to contribute valuable insights that will serve as the foundation for developing enhanced forecasting models for heatwaves
