Yes, create your voiceover and add it to the editing timeline. Next, enable the auto-captions feature and see your subtitles being created in real-time. Learn how to create a text to speech voiceover here.

For example, this video: =kHYZDveT46c has prewritten English subtitles and autogenerated ones. When using the aforementioned switches, I only end up with the prewritten ones. I want the autogenerated ones too. Is there any way for me to do that?

The actual answer is that youtube-dl names its subtitle files only with the language in it (ex: file.en.vtt), which means that a potential auto-en would be named the same way as en, hence the resulting rule that real subtitles will always be prioritized over auto subtitles if both are asked for in the command. This is something that needs to be asked of the devs if we want to be able to do it with youtube-dl alone.

As discussed here before, manually created subtitles are preferred over automatic captions, because the automatic captions come from translating manual subtitles or from translating audio/speech recognition of the audio sources.

We encourage creators to add professional captions first. If automatic captions are available, they'll automatically be published on the video. Automatic captions may not be ready at the time that you upload a video. Processing time depends on the complexity of the video's audio.

YouTube is constantly improving its speech recognition technology. But automatic captions might misrepresent the spoken content due to mispronunciations, accents, dialects, or background noise. Always review automatic captions and edit any parts that haven't been properly transcribed.

After the live stream ends, live automatic captions won't remain on the video. New automatic captions will be generated based on the VOD process, and may be different from the ones that appeared during the live stream.

Has anyone else noticed on channels that usually have English language audio and get auto-subs added within 12-24 hours of uploading have still not had them show up? Did Youtube break something? This is really tough for my viewing experience due to a hearing loss. :\

i downloaded an entire playlist of subtitles which i never thought was possible without doing the videos as well. about 1/3 of them didn't work and i realized it's because those videos only have auto generated subtitles. is there a way to download auto generated subtitles. they really have come a long way and are more accurate then they were at one time.

I'm using Davinci Resolve 18.5 (July 21), editing video game footage. I used the "auto generate subtitles from audio" feature, (the reason I bought Resolve in the first place) and it works well for the most part. However one consistent and annoying problem is that when there's say a 10 second lull/period where I'm not talking, and I start to talk after that, the subtitles for when I start to talk appear during that lull when I'm not actually talking and stay on the screen until I do actually say/finish saying those words.

I was thinking limiting the time subtitles appear to say, 2 seconds, but I couldn't find any option like that in Resolve. Also couldn't find any info online and Blackmagic support wasn't helpful either. Does anyone know any fix for this?

Audiences on social media channels like Facebook or Instagram prefer videos with subtitles because they can watch them anywhere and still get the information they were looking for. This causes a huge increase in video reach.

With Flixier not only you can automatically generate a video subtitle but you can also manually create one or upload a subtitle you already have in your computer. You can upload any subtitle file (SRT, VTT, ASS, SSA, TXT).

To automatically generate subtitles first you need to add your videos in the Flixier library. You can do so by uploading from your computer, importing from cloud storage services or directly from YouTube, Zoom or Twitch.

When your videos have been imported you can drag and drop them on the Flixier timeline. Here you can click on one and on the right side a button saying Generate Auto Subtitle will appear. Click on it and then click start, your subtitle will be generated and added on the timeline where you can continue making tweaks to it.

On top of generating subtitles for your videos with Flixier you can also automatically generate voiceovers from text. Just copy and paste a text that you want to use as a video narration and our text to speech video generator will convert into a natural sounding voice

Besides automatically generating subtitles with Flixer you can make super powerful edits to your videos in a simple to use interface. You can trim, cut and remove parts of your video and you can also add effects, text, music and so much more.

Creating a lyric video can take a really long time if you are trying to do it manually, with the Flixier automatic subtitle generator you can make a lyric video within a few minutes without any effort.

To make subtitles automatically, first add your video to the Flixier library and drag it on the timeline. Here all you need to do is click on it and then click on Generate Auto Subtitle on the right side of the screen. Your subtitle is now created and you can make changes to it or customize its looks.

You can make English subtitles automatically with Flixier. First add your video to the Flixier library from your computer, YouTube, Google Drive or other sources and drag it on the timeline. Now click the Generate Auto Subtitle button on the right side of the screen and your subtitle will be ready in a few moments. At this point you can make changes to the subtitle or customize its appearance.

To add subtitles to a video in Flixier you have three options. You can create a subtitle manually, upload a subtitle from your computer or automatically generate a subtitle. The third option is the easiest one by far, you only need to click a button and your subtitle will be ready in a few moments. You can choose to modify it or customize the way it looks with the easy to use subtitle editor.

I found this cool Reddit link here which basically does what the title says, but this stuff felt a bit confusing to me. Can somebody please suggest if there's a better way to download the automatically generated YouTube captions / subtitles if you want to call those that from a playlist which can be either public or private?

The script you linked to is overkill because it tries to grab subtitles from several videos in a playlist without taking advantage of the fact that, for several years now, youtube-dl has accepted playlists as input in addition to videos. Regardless, what you want can be done in a line of code.

Not sure how you could filter out those that were imported into LingQ. Your best bet is to go find the content yourself in youtube and import it into LingQ. It might take some work, but you should be able to find channels that typically produce their own subtitles.

nsprung, there used to be a thread that was pinned to the top of the forums with content suggestions and also linked to a spreadsheet where youtube channels and or content was listed that had real subtitles. What happened to that thread and can it be pinned again?

When it comes to accessibility online, auto-generated captions are a big win. Now, you can easily include auto-generated captions on Instagram videos and Reels. It can increase your reach, shooting you to Instagram stardom (maybe). Look out, Whindersson Nunes!

Using the Sticker feature means your auto-generated captions are always there. This includes viewers who do not have captions enabled on their accounts. This way, you can be sure that captions will be auto-generated for all of your viewers. 2351a5e196
