about me

I am a PhD student at Stanford Linguistics. I am interested in questions from syntax and semantics from both computational and theoretical perspectives.

I am excited about how we can use recent advances in neural network language models to test theories from theoretical linguistics, and on the flip side, how we can incorporate more theoretical knowledge to make models safer, more robust, and more interpretable [1].

My current work in theoretical syntax draws on fieldwork in Igbo, a language spoken in Southeastern Nigeria. Here, I am interested in interrogatives and the structure of the clausal left periphery [2].

I am currently advised by Christopher Manning and Boris Harizanov. Previously, I did my undergrad at McGill in Linguistics and CS, where I worked with Siva Reddy and Martina Martinović.

I have hosted a couple podcast episodes for the McGill AI Society which you can check out here!
