Hi! Welcome to my page! 😁
I am a Stony Brook University (math) graduate!
At the moment, I am broadly interested in probability theory, with a focus on stochastic calculus, brownian motion, and renewal processes.
In a previous life (during undergrad) I was broadly interested in a mix of geometry and complex analysis. See "Things I've Written" for an overview of the things I've studied during my undergrad years at Stony Brook. From time to time, I still think/read about geometric group theory, drawing from Beardon's text.
I also teach! I teach AMC10/12 Contest Prep (AIME upon request), and any undergraduate math courses. While I primarily focus on those two, I also teach SAT Math from time to time. For more inquiries, please reach out to me at jasonliu7324@gmail.com. Rates/Availability/Delivery of the sessions will vary, and are limited to students located on Long Island, so please reach out if you are interested.
I embrace Professor Adrila's Axioms:
Axiom 1: Mathematical potential is equally present in different groups, irrespective of geographic, demographic, and economic boundaries.
Axiom 2: Everyone can have a joyful, meaningful, and empowering mathematical experience.
Axiom 3: Mathematics is a powerful, malleable tool that can be shaped and used differently by various communities to serve their needs.
Axiom 4: Every student deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
Outside of the classroom, I
am a professional cat enthusiast,
am an avid sport climber,
am an amateur runner,
am an ex-powerlifter
am a tree enjoyer (maybe clicking this does something),
am a semi-pro doom scroller.
