About Jason Hill

From his humble beginnings in Six Nations, Jason Hill has risen to prominence in his community and across Ontario, bringing innovation to an array of industries, from energy and construction to retail and casual dining.

As successful as his many enterprises have been, Burger Barn has been his most memorable creation. Jason opened the restaurant’s doors in 2011, doubled the seating capacity in 2015, and added a Burger Barn truck and catering service five years later.

Combining the tastes of native cuisine with Southern-style comfort food, Burger Barn features Jason’s gourmet burgers, along with such favorites as Indian tacos, chicken wings, ribs, homemade pies and all-day-breakfast offerings.

Among Jason’s other passions are the Belgian draft horses and Clydesdales he raises, which have been showcased at many equestrian events.

His “Burger Barn Belgians” won the 2021 U.S. National Belgian 6 Horse Hitch Championship, among other contests. His Clydesdales exhibited at the World Clydesdale Show in London, Ontario, and won the World Champion Team and the Reserve Champion 8 Horse Hitch in Madison, Wisconsin in 2018.

Jason is also a race car enthusiast, who began his participation in the sport by sponsoring a driver in 2015. Soon thereafter, he put together a team of Burger Barn racers who compete throughout Ontario. In 2020 his team won the Southern Ontario Sprint Car Championship.
