I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Duke University and a Faculty Research Fellow at the NBER. My research lies at the intersection of labor and public economics. I study how institutions such as the child welfare system and public schools shape economic opportunity and intergenerational mobility in the U.S. and how they can be designed to be more effective and efficient.
