Bio

Welcome to my personal website. I am an Associate Professor of Accounting at the Ivy College of Business, Iowa State University, where I have been on the faculty since June 2018.  My work has been published in leading journals in accounting, finance, and information systems, including The Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Information Systems Research, Contemporary Accounting Research, AUDITING: A Journal of Practice & Theory, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Information Systems, and Accounting Horizons. As of March 2026, my research has received more than 842 citations and has been featured in major media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, CFO Magazine, and Accounting Today. 

In recent years, my work has been presented at highly selective national and international conferences, including the American Finance Association (AFA) Annual Meeting, the Society for Financial Studies Finance Cavalcade, the Financial Intermediation Research Society (FIRS) Annual Meeting, the Midwest Finance Association Annual Meeting, the China International Conference in Finance, the AAA FARS/Auditing Midyear Meeting, and the Bretton Woods Accounting and Finance Ski Conference. 

I received my B.A. in Financial Management from Nanjing University in 2010, my M.Acc. and M.A. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2013, and my Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Kansas in 2018. I passed the Uniform CPA Examination in the United States in 2011.
