Johnny Angel Salas (Born January 8, 2010), known professionally as JAS, is an independent 15 year old American rapper/singer/songwriter from El Paso, Texas. Supremely innovative, JAS continues to redefine music, style, and popular culture, pushing the boundaries of pop, R&B, and hip-hop, and remains as influential as ever.

Johnny Angel Salas (JAS) was born on January 8, 2010, in El Paso, Texas. JAS grew up alongside his three sisters, and his one brother. JAS had the desire to become a football player and a mechanic, but when he started listening to music, he wanted to be an artist.

JAS fell in love with music at the young age of 11, growing up listening to artists like Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J, Ice Cube, Tupac, 50 Cent, The Notorious B.I.G and more. By the time JAS was 13, on May 13, 2023, he released his first ever single titled "MIND IS OPEN". By January 8, 2025, JAS is now 15 years old and is still pursuing his dreams and praising his catchphrase, "KEEP IT REAL".
