After writing all her life and winning numerous writing competitions as a child, Jasmine published her first novel at age seventeen, kicking off her renowned 'Isles series' an epic fantasy trilogy. Along with writing, Jasmine aspires to one day be a design engineer in the aerospace industry, for which she has already received two scholarships and four awards for her engineering prowess.
Jasmine was born in Chester, England. She had spent the majority of her life however living across the border in Wales, surrounded by castles and historical sites Jasmine had plenty of inspiration for the worlds she creates. At age 6, Jasmine was featured in a poetry book after winning a competition through her primary school, sparking a long line of stories and poems. Once reaching secondary school Jasmine aspired to be a writer, considering journalism and creative writing, however when she was 14 she discovered her love of engineering after becoming the youngest ever regional winner of the UK space design competition. This however did not hinder her love of writing, during the winter of 2020 Jasmine set about writing her first novel, publishing it a little over two years later during February of 2023.
During the national lockdown over the summer of 2020, I was completely disconnected from my friends, my school being a little under an hour away from where I lived. This inspired me to make friends online which I found through our mutual love of books (particularly the Percy Jackson series) to pass the time, I created a dungeons and dragons campaign for us all to play, staging it out like a tv show with 'seasons'. Somepoint down the line someone had suggested turning it into a book, which re-awakened my love of writing. I owe everything I have to those friends who are still apart of my publishing journey, being my beta-readers for my books.
Music and architecture are big sources of inspiration for me, I grew up in the centre of a historical village only a few doors down from a castle which felt like living within a fairy tale at times. Many locations across North Wales are direct inspiration for locations in my books. As for music I tend to go through the world living through music, it is very rare that you will not see me with my headphones in. Very early in my writing process I make spotify playlists for my projects.
