I am an Assistant Professor at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa. My research interests include strategic and entrepreneurial uses of artificial intelligence and digital technologies. I am particularly interested in natural language programming applications such as intelligent assistants and AI-enabled biometric technologies and their impact on the digital workplace. Before teaching, I worked as a Petroleum Field Engineer in western Canada in the oil and gas industry and as a Management Consultant for Deloitte in Strategy and Operations. I am the co-founder of a software development company in Gatineau.

January 2025 - Is DeepSeek's chatbot better for the environment? - Interviewed by the CBC on January 30, 2025. Video recording describing that AI’s use of energy and water is expected to continue to grow exponentially. The new AI-powered chatbot DeepSeek claims to be using much less energy than its competitors. I describe that it is a good that the conversation of AI and energy is happening.

December 2020 - Awarded the New PhD Student Research Excellence Award, 2020, Queen’s University, Smith School of Business. This highly competitive award is awarded to recognize an individual PhD student amongst all disciplines whose pre-comprehensive exam academic progress and demonstrated research potential are acknowledged as outstanding. It is commemorated with a financial award and the name engraved on the New PhD Students Research Excellence Plaque displayed at the Smith School of Business.
