Beyond Boring Software built the Jarvis app as a Paid app. This SERVICE is provided by Beyond Boring Software and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible within the Jarvis app unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information and app permissions, including but not limited to:

Microphone Access: To record voice commands for the assistant functionality.
Storage Access (Read and Write): To save preferences and cache data.
Contacts Access: To allow the assistant to initiate phone calls via voice commands. We only access your contacts locally to match the name spoken in your command. Your contact list is never uploaded, stored on our servers, or shared with third parties.
Installed Applications (App Inventory): To execute commands such as "Open [App Name]", the system must query the list of applications installed on your device. This data is processed entirely locally and is never transmitted off your device.
Background Audio & Continuous Listening: To provide hands-free assistance, the app may run a continuous listening service in the background. This audio data is processed locally in temporary RAM to process your commands. Audio is never recorded, saved, or transmitted to any server during this background monitoring phase.

Local Processing & Data Retention Jarvis is designed as an "Offline-First" intelligence system. The core logic, including your chosen identity tags, custom settings, and offline command processing, occurs entirely on your local device hardware. We do not maintain remote servers that store your voice recordings, contact lists, or personal telemetry. Any data required to run the app is stored locally on your device and is permanently deleted if you uninstall the application or clear its cache.

The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

Third-Party Services & Search Providers

The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Specifically, to provide knowledge retrieval, definitions, and search results, this app transmits text-based search queries to the following third-party providers:

Wikipedia API: Used to retrieve definitions and encyclopedia summaries.
DuckDuckGo API: Used to answer "Why", "How", and general search questions.

Important Note on Search Data: No personal user data (such as your name, email, or precise location) is shared with these search services. Only the specific search query you speak or type is transmitted to retrieve the answer.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.
