Jarret Reid - Professional Hockey Player

Jarret Reid played as a professional hockey player in Canada in the 1990’s.

Jarret Reid was selected in the first round draft to play for the Ontario Hockey League’s (OHL) Sault Greyhounds. With the Greyhounds, Jarret led the team to the Memorial Cup three consecutive times, and helped bring the cup home after the 1992-93 tournament. This proved to be a momentous year for Jarret, who was also inducted into the OHL’s 50 Scorer list.

After receiving the playoff MVP award and leading the league in scoring, as well as racking up 175 goals during his OHL career, in 1993, Jarret was selected in the 5th round draft to play for the NHL’s Hartford Whalers (i.e. the Carolina Hurricanes).

After playing with the Whalers, Jarret Reid played in the American Hockey League (AHL) and various European leagues before returning to Canada and becoming a hockey coach in Ontario.
