I had an incredible experience at the STAQ Summer School on Quantum Computing, hosted by Duke University and fully funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
Throughout the week, I had the opportunity to:
🔹 Explore Duke’s cutting-edge Quantum Center and research labs
🔹 Engage in thought-provoking lectures and interactive mind games
🔹 Connect with passionate students, researchers, and faculty from across the U.S.
🔹 Dive deep into the fundamentals and future of quantum science and technology
It was a truly enriching and inspiring week full of learning, collaboration, and excitement.
I’m thankful for the chance to be part of this experience.
In May 2025, I had the opportunity to present at Night at the ZACH during the Texas Science & Engineering Fair (TXSEF) as part of the AVLL Lab. We showcased interactive demonstrations on AI-powered object detection and anomaly detection, giving students hands-on exposure to how artificial intelligence can “see,” interpret, and learn from real-world data.
It was an incredibly rewarding experience to engage with young STEM enthusiasts and contribute to inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers.
I had the opportunity to serve as a Program Committee Member for TPEC 2025, where I supported session coordination, assisted with conference logistics, and helped facilitate networking among participants. I also attended several technical sessions and engaged with researchers, students, and industry representatives throughout the event.
As part of the conference activities, we also visited the Center for Infrastructure Renewal (CIR), which provided valuable insight into ongoing research and large-scale testing facilities related to power and energy systems.
It was a great experience contributing to the conference and connecting with the broader power and energy research community.
