Jari is the first ever skeleton slider from Finland. After completing his FIBT Skeleton school he competed in three World Championships for Finland.

1994 in Altenberg, 1995 Lillehammer and in 1996 in Calgary.

''The World Championships in Calgary were special. Some officials from the FIBT gave team Finland compliments for our competition and it was nice to be the best Finnish slider in the results.''
