My name is Jared Smelter. I am a photography enthusiast based out of Maine. I am an elementary school teacher.

Outside the classroom, I am in nature somewhere most of the time. I normally am somewhere in Hancock County, but sometimes venture down to visit my family in Connecticut. Once a year, I leave the country to go to Canada. I am hoping to travel more in the future!

My favorite animals to photograph are foxes, owls, puffins, and whales!

For both my photography and videography, I use the Canon R5 Mark II and Canon R6 Mark II with an assortment of lenses. All of it is done ethically, responsibly, and respectfully. 

Someday, I hope to add a formidable 400mm or 600mm prime lens to my kit.

 I take my camera anywhere I travel! So you might also see me doing sports photography, portrait photography, and more!
