I was previously a private credit strategy associate at the investment manager, PIMCO. I received my MA in economics from UCLA in 2023. I received my BA from Yeshiva University in mathematical economics in 2018 for which I received the honor of Yeshiva College valedictorian.
My research agenda lies at the intersection of financial intermediation, macroprudential regulation, and firm dynamics.
My current work focuses on answering fundamental questions relating to the rise of a new lending agent in the macroeconomy that of private debt funds. I have commenced on a project to assess the real impact that private debt lenders have on borrowing firms using administrative data in the U.S. In a previous paper, I developed a structural model that rationalizes the rise of private debt within the evolution of corporate lending since the Great Financial Crisis based on the joint effects of changes to firm moral hazard associated with syndicated loan markets and the marginal cost of bank lending.
