Events for Young Researchers in ASPL2025
Three events for early career scientists and students will be held together with the Asian-Oceanian Symposium on Plant Lipids 2025 in Matsue, Japan. We all welcome early career scientists and students (including undergraduates) who want to be involved in the scientific community in plant lipids.
A simple registration for this workshop is included in ASPL2025 registration form. Further details will be sent via e-mail to those who have registered for the events for young researchers.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to schedule constraints and venue capacity, the number of participants is limited for all events. In principle, we follow “first-come first-served basis”, but international participants and doctoral students will have priority to be registered.

In addition to the lecture, participants will be divided into small groups for discussions. These discussions will include self-introductions as well as debates on how to advance the frontier of plant lipid studies—for example, which process or mechanism to focus on, what organisms to investigate, what techniques to develop. Participants will also engage in role-playing activities (such as laboratory PIs, presidents of universities or academic societies, or governmental research funders) aimed at exploring ways to energize the scientific community.
