Booths - Activities & Games
Game-Fukuwarai “Much like “Pin the Tail on the Donkey,” this game challenges blindfolded players to correctly arrange the parts of a face of a popular character.
Game - Shuriken Challenge. Pretend you are a Ninja Warrior and throw a hand crafted paper Shuriken to hit balloon targets! All participants can get a participation prize.
Game-Mizu Fusen (Water Balloon Fishing). Kids fishing for balloons from kiddie pools, outside & under cover. Find more information under “yo-yo tsuri” here.
Game-Ohashi Chopstick Challenge-Use chopsticks to pick up from a bowl and put into a plate as many toys and other items as possible within one minute.
Craft –Origami. Make origami crafts with help from the experts of P.A.P.E.R. "Puget Area Paperfolding Enthusiasts Roundtable".
Craft – Coloring of Japanese related places in Seattle. Kendama, a Japanese traditional toy originated during the 16th-17 century, is also at the coloring booth.
Craft – Shodo. Try your hand at Japanese calligraphy known as shodo. Then mount your work on colored paper to create a wonderful keepsake you can take home.
Craft-Kokeshi. These wooden dolls are traditionally children’s toys and can be decorated to the crafter’s liking – from kimono-clad girl to ninja to Doraemon. Learn more here.
Activity-Yukata Dress Up. Kids and adults dress and pose in traditional Japanese clothing for picture-taking. See an overview of here.
Food- Sushi Rolls and Japanese Desserts by Setsuko Pastry. Try delicious sushi rolls and cookies, cakes, and more.
