Japan Night - 2018

An all school event in the celebration of Japanese culture

The event is held at the John Stanford International School. This is a free event for ALL John Stanford International School families.

At this event, we celebrate the art, music, food and popular culture of Japan. There are free activities and games for students. Tasty Japanese dishes are for sale. Martial arts, kendo, taiko drummers have performed in past years.

When: Friday, March 9, 6-8pm, 2018

  • 6:00 pm – Japan Night begins
  • 6:20 pm – Kindergarten performs in the gym.
  • 6:50 pm – Seattle Judo Dojo on stage
  • 7:15 pm – Taiko Performance - Nami Daiko (Hamilton International Middle School - JSIS alumni included!)
  • 7:30 pm – Taiko Performance - Hidaka Taiko (Seattle University)
  • 7:45 pm – 5th grade performs Sōran Bushi in the gym.
  • 8:00 pm – Japan Night ends
