Japanese ETP Consulting firm

About us :

We are a unique consultancy firm for planning and set up of environmental treatment plants. We rely on a novel and cutting-edge anaerobic treatment process [Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) Process] which is very effective and economically favorable. Anaerobic digestion is a promising process for the treatment of wastewater in tropical and subtropical countries. The successful application of anaerobic technology to the treatment of textile wastewater depends on the development of high rate bioreactors which can achieve a high reaction rate per unit reactor volume by retaining the biomass in the reactor.

Textile wastewater used to be treated through aerobic process followed by chemical process which were very expansive and produced excess sludge. On the contrary, anaerobic digestion is a promising process for the treatment of wastewater in tropical and subtropical countries. The anaerobic process is multi stage i.e. acid formation stage where facultative bacteria (acid former) decomposes the organic matter to volatile acids and the second stage is the methane formation stage where methanogens produce the CH4 gas and CO2. Under the UASB process the organic compounds digested under the anaerobic condition produce methane, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, nitrogen and hydrogen sulfide, etc. The UASB system is a high rate treatment process. Organic loading rate is most important for determining the shape and size of the reactor. The UASB Is successfully used in mesophilic temperature ranged from 25-35°C.

Benefits of the UASB process:

1). Final effluent becomes standard effluent quality

2). No Chemicals will be used for the treatment process

3). Less number of pumps are needed

4). High rate (Faster) treatment process

5). Less area is required

6). Less electricity is required

7). Final effluent contains more dissolved oxygen

8). Less excess sludge is produced

9. Treated water could be used for aquaculture

10. Co-digestion will be followed for developing the economical treatment
