JapaMeditate - Privacy Policy

JapaMeditate (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a simple, offline-first app designed for daily Japa (mantra counting) and meditation practice. We respect your privacy and aim to collect only what is needed to operate, improve, and support the app.

1. Information You Provide

JapaMeditate does not require an account or login. We do not ask you to provide your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, health data, biometric data, or other directly identifying personal information.

2. Practice Data Stored on Your Device

To provide app functionality, the following practice data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s system storage:

Japa rounds count

Streaks

Meditation minutes

Session history

Mantra settings

Theme preferences

This practice data is used only inside the app. We do not have access to it, and it does not leave your device unless you personally back up your device through Apple services such as iCloud or iTunes.

3. Advertising

The free version of JapaMeditate uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect or process information such as approximate location, device information, ad interactions, and identifiers used for advertising or ad personalization, depending on your device settings and consent choices.

AdMob’s data practices are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy:

You can limit ad tracking or personalized ads through your device settings.

4. Analytics

JapaMeditate uses Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to help us understand how the app is used and improve the experience. Firebase Analytics may collect or process information such as app interactions, app opens, session activity, device type, operating system version, approximate location, and diagnostic or usage data.

We do not use Firebase Analytics to collect your mantra text, meditation notes, personal spiritual practice details, or personally entered Japa session history. Your practice data remains stored on your device as described above.

5. Third-Party Services

JapaMeditate uses the following third-party services:

Google AdMob, for advertising

Firebase Analytics, for app analytics

These services may collect or process data according to their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our app is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.

7. Security

Your Japa and meditation practice data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate our own servers to store your practice data.

8. Your Choices

You may:

Reset app data within the app settings

Delete the app at any time, which removes locally stored app data

Limit personalized ads through your device settings

Manage Apple privacy permissions through iOS settings

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect new features, legal requirements, advertising changes, analytics changes, or SDK updates. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are made.
