Changes from the National Vetting Bureau came into effect in July, and Carlow Volunteer Centre are be running a series of trainings for all our affiliates to address these changes. If you haven't already booked to attend a workshop, the next training is Tuesday, January 20th at 1pm.

Volunteer EXPO 2026: Save the Date.
Our Volunteer EXPO will take place on Thursday, February 26th, in the Fairgreen Shopping Centre in Carlow.
This is a fantastic opportunity for volunteer involving organisations to meet and chat to new volunteers, and for volunteers to find out more about volunteering with specific organisations.

Basic Digital Skills for Beginners FREE 6 week course is starting in both Tullow Library on Mondays and in Muinebheag Library on Thursdays.

Mindfulness with Mary is a FREE 4 week course offered through Carlow Volunteer Centre with Mindfulness Coach Mary Fleming. This course will take place in An Gairdín Beo from 11am to 12:30pm starting Thursday, January 15th and continue on January 22nd, 29th and February 5th. Minding Me Post Christmas Reset Stress Management Course is taking place in Carlow Library on Thursdays from 10am to 12pm. This FREE course will run for 6 weeks starting January 15th. Participant are asked to bring a yoga mat. Email library@carlowcoco to reserve your spot.
Pan Celtic National Song Contest 2026 takes place in Visual Carlow on Saturday, January 24th at 8pm. The composer of the winning song will represent Ireland at the Pan Celtic International Song Contest in April 2026. Tickets are €15. Click HERE to book.
