Reflection on Performance in Museum & Quantitative Metric:
At the Boston Children's Museum (BCM), both of our boxes worked perfectly! We didn't encounter any problems regarding the functionality of both boxes. We were surprised that the 1v1 aspect wasn't much of a success. Over 50% of the kids didn't come as pairs. However, both boxes was still a success. If one of the boxes had a slower reaction time, we were able to direct the player to the other box! In addition, having two boxes made sure we didn't have a huge line!
29% of the players tried pulling the buttons. However, we predicted this would be issue. To prevent this, we screwed the buttons through the hole that we either lasercut (first box) or drilled through (second box) to ensure security.
The duration of the game was perfect. We debated choosing a time between 20-30 seconds. However, we found that 30 seconds was perfect. Only 5 players left halfway. The remaining 93% stayed!
22.7% of the players needed assistance from their caregiver! Some of the players were very young so they were hesitant on pressing the buttons. These statics can be seen in a visual in Figure 1!

JAN's had such a fun day! We arrived early in the morning and had minimal issues setting up. We stayed for around 2 hours showcasing our game! Take a look at the picture we collected from April 12, 2026!
