The Robust Optimization Webinar (ROW) is a bi-weekly online seminar covering presentations of international researchers related to the topic of robust optimization. You can find more information on our website.
Our team of researchers working on Exlainable Optimization (XOpt) at the University of Amsterdam is maintaining a website to collect and promote recent research on XOpt.
The Dutch Optimization Platform (DOP) is an initiative organized by researchers from Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam. The goal is to connect to Optimizers working in industry and government. If you are interested in participating please contact Prof. Dr. Dick den Hertog.
I am member of the German OR society (GOR), the Mathematical Optimization Society (MOS) and the Dutch Network on the Mathematics of Operations Research (LNMB).
The workshop brings together international researchers and practitioners to discuss explainability and interpretability in mathematical optimization. While these concepts are gaining attention in areas like machine learning, they remain underexplored in optimization. The workshop aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, connect early-career and senior researchers, and bridge theory and practice. You can find more information on our website.
The research project Optimisation for and with Machine Learning (OPTIMAL) is an ENW-GROOT research project funded by NWO. It is a collaboration between researchers from University of Amsterdam, CWI, Tilburg University, and Technical University Delft.
