Embark on a magical journey as a humble farmer, cursed and transformed into a mermaid. In the village of Oceania Cove, use your farming skills to aid in their community’s revival. Craft a potion, from your crops to break the mermaid’s curse and return you to your human form.
Custom Engine Footage
Debugging System:
Custom built logging system that writes any errors in either the game or the custom engine to their respective error text files
File Serialization:
Used JSON file format to save information about the player's progress
CSV formatting was used to set up the different levels and the states of the NPCs in each level
Audio Management:
Audio system makes use of the FMOD library to bring life to the game with underwater sound effects and a bubbly, soothing soundtrack to match the theme
Farming Mechanics:
Farming mechanics are simple, with a twist, instead of watering the crops, our mermaid character sings to the crops, encouraging the crops to grow.
Following the plow, grow, harvest cycle, plants can be harvested and crops can either be sold or delivered to NPCs

With the shadows of a factory in the background, roll around as a little ball while making use of various elements around the factory. Get to your goal while making use of boosts, cannons and your trusty grappling hook. Be careful of spikes and falling to the factory floor!

Base floor tileset was provided, while other tiles were designed in Aseprite to match the theme
Factory background was designed and recolored in Aseprite

Scripted a turret that tracks the player and attacks the player when in range
Created and synched new animations for crouching
Added a health bar to indicate the health of the player
Added physics for a running jump that allows the player to reach higher heights
