We do NOT provide patient medical information to visitors
We do NOT share individual user data with third parties for their marketing
We do NOT disclose visitor lists to unauthorized parties
We do NOT engage in cross-app tracking or targeted advertising
Chaperone Role Clarification: Chaperones are volunteer coordinators who have pre-existing professional or trusted relationships with healthcare facilities. They operate independently of our app and are responsible for:
Coordinating directly with facility staff (off-platform)
Verifying patient consent for visitors (through facility channels, not our app)
Managing facility-specific visiting protocols
Ensuring visitor safety and appropriateness
Maintaining patient information through facility systems
JannahQuest's Limited Responsibility:
We provide ONLY the platform for visit coordination between volunteers
We do NOT control, access, or manage facility-patient relationships
We are NOT responsible for chaperone actions outside the app
We do NOT handle, store, or transmit PHI or medical information
Chaperones access patient information through facility channels and professional relationships, NOT through our app
Any patient medical information is managed entirely off-platform by facilities and chaperones
Our Role is Similar to DoorDash: Just as DoorDash facilitates food delivery without being a restaurant, JannahQuest facilitates visit coordination without being a healthcare provider. The actual patient care relationship exists between facilities, chaperones, and patients—we simply provide the technology to connect volunteers with opportunities.
Patient Consent Process:
ALL patients listed on JannahQuest must have explicit consent to be visited
Consent is obtained by chaperones or facility staff through their professional channels (off-platform)
Patients or their legal guardians must agree to have their basic information listed
Patients can request removal from the platform at any time
What Patients Consent To:
Anonymous or initial-based listing on the app (no full names unless requested)
General information sharing: facility location, visiting times, age group, gender
Being matched with vetted community volunteers for visits
Basic coordination through the app's group chat system
What Patients Do NOT Consent To:
Sharing of medical diagnoses, treatments, or health conditions
Disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI)
Unlimited or unrestricted visitors (facilities maintain control)
Patient Control:
Patients or families can request removal at any time through chaperones
Visit preferences (gender restrictions, family only) are respected
Maximum visitor limits per time slot prevent overwhelming patients
Our Role:
We rely on chaperones and facilities to obtain proper consent
We do NOT independently verify consent (chaperones are responsible)
We remove listings immediately upon notification from authorized parties
