6 December 2025 to 2 January 2026 - Royal Scottish Academy. Edinburgh
25th to 28th September 2025 - The Paper Mill - Edinburgh
I have really enjoyed installing and exhibiting my work as part of this exhibition. The Paper Mill venue has a really good atmosphere and it has been an interesting experience setting up in such an unusual space. The knitting was done by Betty Johnson aged 95. Our one and only collaboration as sadly she died in May 2025.
There was a real buzz at the show and I really enjoyed that so many people turned out for the opening night of the exhibition. I am really fascinated by the social and learning opportunities that I see in my work as a wide range of visitors my gallery space to interact with the loose parts and each other socially.
It was great to be a part of this collaborative exhibition, where we searched our cupboards for objects that still deserve to come out and play and collaborate with each other. 16 artists collaborated in this event and there was a real buzz about putting on something that was a little less traditional in Inverness.
I was delighted to be a part of this International Print Exchange Exhibtion with the Highland Print Studios. I made a series of 20 etchings around the theme of Invisible Structures.
Art Students Claire Gordon and Jan McCormack have been working in collaboration with Scottish Canals to open up an Outdoor Pop Up Gallery in Inverness. The students who are studying towards a Fine Art Degree, at Moray School of Art, Elgin are both interested in making sculpture using everyday objects and found materials. Constantly on the look out for unusual spaces to showcase their work the students were delighted when Scottish Canals lent them their disused bin shed for the day. The debut opening of the Bin Shed Gallery on Sunday 8th September attracted a steady stream of visitors and the two students were so delighted with the response to their work that they are planning further pop up events in the future.
