Effective September 26, 2026
JanKors keeps everything on your own computer. It does not send your data to any server, and it does not sell or share your data with anyone.
What the extension handles
To do its job, JanKors works with the following information:
- Pages you visit while the timer is on. It reads the page address and title so it can time each page, warn you before your limit, and show a list of recent pages.
- Screen recordings and screenshots. These are only made when you start them. They capture what is on your screen and are labeled with the site name and time.
- Your settings. Time limits, theme, and display options.
Where it is stored
Settings and the page log are stored in your browser's local extension storage. Recordings are written to your browser's private storage while recording, so they are not lost if Chrome closes, and are then saved to your Downloads folder. Screenshots are saved straight to your Downloads folder.
What we do not do
- We do not collect, upload, or send any of your data to us or anyone else.
- We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising, credit, or lending purposes, or for anything unrelated to the extension's purpose.
- The extension does not load code from outside its own package.
Your control
You choose when to record or take screenshots, and you can turn the timer off at any time. You can delete saved files from your Downloads folder whenever you like. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes its stored settings and page log.
Changes to this policy
