I am a plant genomics scientist working to utilize the unexplored potential of plants for sustainability. I was most recently a postdoctoral researcher in a lab at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte studying echinoderm genomics and regeneration, how this unique ability evolved, and how we can utilize it. I previously worked in a plant genomics lab where I completed my dissertation research exploring agronomically important traits in the wild ancestor to soybeans. When I'm not in the lab I like to garden, ferment various liquids and solids, curate playlists, pretend I'm a naturalist, and find any excuse to be outdoors.
