The lab lined up with the concepts we were doing in class, which helped further my understanding of the practical use of econometrics."
"I responded with a 4 or 5 for nearly question above. Jang was a good instructor and certainly taught me quite a bit about econometrics. He made the course interesting and certainly had me thinking about ways to apply econometric methods to lots of issues I encounter throughout my life. I enjoyed his course and would certainly recommend him to a friend."
"He was a fantastic teacher that made sure we could all understand the subject. No reading from a PowerPoint, just taught us how to do the problems we were expected to learn how to do."

Course Outline
One section met for three hours each week and was designed to review the econometrics theory covered in lecture and practice how those concepts are applied in Stata/R. The lab consisted of instructor‑led demonstrations, hands‑on practice, and weekly assignments.
Student's Comments
"He is compassionate with concerns of students and happy to stay after time to answer questions."
"He was incredibly organized and willing to help any student individually. I was frequently the last person left in lab and he always made sure I fully understood everything before leaving. He also did a great job using real examples."
"Jang Hyeok An was always ready to help the students and was willing to meet with me outside of class/lab time to go over questions and struggles that I may have been having with the course. He also had a very in-depth understanding of Stata."
"He showed a strong desire to help the students succeed. Regardless of how long it took he would stay by a student until they understood the lab assignment. He brought a supportive and positive attitude which helped alleviate student's frustration."
"Being able to explain difficult concepts to students and helping individual students. He is also good at fixing things on the fly. There were a few times where the lab makes the questions hard to solve the way the professor wanted, but he was able to find a new way to get the answer."
