I've learned a lot about loving and being loved from the people who have hurt me and from the ones who haven't, from my friends and from my family and most of all from God. I've learned the hard way and I've learned through teaching. I've learned through hope and prayers and through every kind of heartache. I have turned my wounds into open doors to let love in again. I have cherished so many different forms of love while I waited to experience the romantic kind. My love is patient. It is best described in poetry. I wrote these poems for someone, someday. I don't know who you are yet but I've learned what my heart needs and what my heart is capable of giving and I know that you will love me in all the ways it used to hurt too much to wish for. I hope these words find you. I believe they will someday. They belong to you.
I'm going back on tour with @TendersongVA!Â
I wouldn't be performing these poems and self publishing books if it wasn't for her fierce and constant love and support. I'm so excited to spend these days on the road with my love. Such a gift. Hope to see you there!
