Welcome to my personal website. My name is Jananan Arulseelan. I also sometimes go by (and am occasionally credited as) Jan Arulseelan. I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Iowa State University, under the supervision of James Hanson.

My research interests include, but are not limited to: 

• Model theory and logic (especially continuous model theory)

• Operator algebras (especially type III von Neumann algebras)

• Computability theory

• Mathematical physics and quantum information theory

I successfully defended my thesis "On the Computability Theoretic and Continuous Model Theoretic Structure of General Von Neumann Algebras", supervised by Dr. Bradd Hart, in July 2025 at McMaster University.
