I'm Jana, a researcher with a passion for computational communication studies. My work focuses on using computational methods, mostly with text-as-data, to explore the dynamic relationship between political communication, media, and society. After completing my PhD at the University of Vienna, where I focused on validating unsupervised text analysis techniques, I now contribute to projects that build essential research infrastructures for European election data. 

Currently, I am part of the Monitoring Electoral Democracy (MEDem) initiative, as well as other research efforts such as the Austrian Election Study (AUTNES) and ySKILLS. My goal is to combine innovative computational methods with social science insights to improve our understanding of democratic processes and digital interactions.
