All About Jan

Teacher,  painter, sculptor,  compulsive maker..... 

Jan Ubels has had an eclectic past.  His background includes teaching art in secondary schools, designing and making Custom hot rods, developing museum installations and building sets for the NZ Opera and other theatre groups. 

Jan lives in Taupo with his wife Margaret and enjoys a cheeky whisky , good wine and spending time with his family (especially his Mokopuna).  Jan and Margaret's home also houses the spoils of his compulsive need to create in every medium available to him.   

Now, in the prime of his life, Jan is starting the process of exhibiting and selling his art to a wider audience.
