Jam on Orcas Island (JOI)

The Jam on Orcas Island (JOI) is an annual five-day Contact Improvisation intensive in a uniquely beautiful setting. JOI offers skills classes, open jams, Contemplative Dance Practice, community activities, and more. This jam is a special event with a mission to make high-quality experiences accessible to Contact Improv dancers of all levels.

JOI is located on private land in the San Juan Islands, WA. The jam includes camping under starry skies, an outdoor spa with hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge, organic gardens, catered lunches and shared dinners, easy access to mountain lakes, hiking, and spectacular scenery.
