Jam on Orcas Island (JOI)

The Jam on Orcas Island (JOI) is an annual 5-day Contact Improvisation intensive in a serene natural setting. JOI offers skills classes, open jams, Contemplative Dance Practice, community activities, and more. This jam is a special event with a mission to make high-quality experiences accessible to Contact Improv dancers of all levels.

JOI is located on private land in the San Juan Islands, WA, and offers camping under starry skies, a spa area with hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge, an organic garden, catered meals, easy access to mountain lakes, hiking, and spectacular scenery.
